4th of July was known world wide as the Independence Day of the United States. But for me,it means even more. It is my dear's birthday!
I've always wanted to give her the best I can during her birthday, but somehow 2011 I really ran out of ideas...She's just back from Spain and Italy (company incentive trip),and have been enjoying the food there. So I had a tough time to plan where to have her dinner when she's back to Malaysia...hmmm...no western food,no Italian or Spanish food...
Finally Tao came into my mind! TAO is actually not a Japanese restaurant serving Japanese buffet, despite always being referred to as ‘TAO Japanese Buffet‘. Actually the dishes served at TAO are Asian specialties including mostly of Japan, Thailand and Chinese.
My first experience with TAO at E-Gate a few years back was a good affair. Although I have been to Tao Sunway Giza a few times, I still have fond memories of eating here.

The entrance of Tao Sunway Giza. |
As soon as we were seated our waiter greeted us and helped us to order some suggested items from the menu, so that we won’t need to waste time going through it. The Spicy Mayo Scallops is the must order dish at TAO. The scallops are grilled then topped with generous mixture of Japanese Mayonnaise and spicy sauce, which is then blow-torched later. Definitely a dish that would tingle your taste buds and leave you asking for more.

The scallops! |

This soup is quite nice |
My favorite: The sashimi. |
Among them are salmon, tuna, ika, mackarel. I love their salmon the most because of the freshness and thickness is just nice!
The lamb teriyaki: is only so-so in my opinion |
The salmon ball: but no salmon taste.. |
This is recommended! |
Their mix mushroom is tasty!
I don;t really enjoy this. |
The teriyaki squid: very very nice...juicy and fresh! |
Unagi and tofu |
The soft shell crab hand-roll...quite nice |
This is a must try... |
Edamame |
Tuna slice with onion |
The ice cream dessert. |
fried clam- but their size is too small |
I really enjoy the food and environment there and I still miss the sashimi everytime I went back home. But most importantly...my dear like the food as well!
