Strange Sounds and Weird Noises from the Sky Heard Around the World

Do you have an explanation for all of the strange sounds in the sky that have been documented all around the world lately? Over the past few weeks, Twitter, Facebook and the blogosphere have been absolutely buzzing about these strange sounds. At the moment, they remain a great mystery because nobody can seem to explain them. Some are calling them "apocalyptic sounds". Whatever they are, they are very loud. Those that have heard the unexplained sounds in the sky compare them to the rumbling of a train, a sonic boom or a trumpet.

The Earth is Groaning
People around the world are talking about it: the "strange sounds" coming from the sky. Just within the last few weeks, Google search for "strange sounds" has skyrocketed for the query "strange sounds". Some say that "The Hum" is a sign of Jesus's return, others say it is related to weather wars, chemtrails or is a sign that the Earth is "troubled". I myself have not heard "the hum", but I'm sure if I did that I would definitely be kind of freaked out and would be looking for some type of explanation for the mysterious sound.
(scroll down to hear for yourself)

Theories about the strange sounds
As with any unanswered phenomena, conspiracies and theories abound about what the source of the "strange sound" from the sky is. Some say it is actually coming from the Earth, and not from the sky. And as with any questionable topic - some think this is a viral hoax to market a movie or to scare people about the year 2012. I don't believe the marketing hoax myself - there have been too many accounts coming in from all over world, with even news crews hearing the strange sound

Prophecy being fulfilled?
I have also noticed that many people are pointing to scripture in the Bible and feel that these "strange noises" from the sky are related to scripture. Digging a little deeper I did discover several passages that could literally be applied to these strange noises:

Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Rev 11:15 And the seventh messenger sounded, and there came to be loud voices in the heaven, saying, “The reign of this world has become the reign of our Master, and of His Messiah, and He shall reign forever

Romans 8: 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body

Luke 19: 39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” 40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” 41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

Revelation 9:9: They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle.

Being a believer myself, I do know that Jesus said he will return like a "thief in the night". Although we may interpret scripture to believe that we are living in the end times, I do believe it's critical that we don't dwell on life ending so much as we should be dwelling on living life - in the here and now! I would love to hear your ideas and comments about what you think these strange sounds in the sky are - and thank you for reading!

Some of the many "hearings" along with some accounts:

Costa Rica (South America) Jan. 12, 2012: "This news has rattled the social web whereas Costa Ricans and the world over are scrambling to figure out what this mysterious sound could have been. Authorities have yet to comment on the subject although OVSICORI, the Costa Rica Volcanologist and Seismologist Organization is saying there is no Earth movements recorded at the time of the strange sound

Kota Samarahan Jan. 2012: "KUCHING:

Authorities on science do not consider the strange sounds in the sky over Kota Samarahan near hear as a laughing matter.

They neither denied it as paranormal nor a hoax. Though explanation over the ‘phenomenon’ is still pending, some people have turned the matter into points for jokes, especially on Facebook. Deputy Minister of Science Technology and Innovation Datuk Fadillah Yusuf yesterday said he had already assembled a team headed by one Dr Mustafa Subari of Malaysian Space Agency to study the claims.

He said he had also asked the Meteorology Department but they too could not provide any explanation." (added Jan.20, 2012)

Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas 2011: "I know there is something to these 'sounds' as a year ago I was awakened early one morning to a sound that I could not determine what it was. Since all this has blown up I now know what I heard. Well I know I heard something weird. You have now authenticated this for me. :) People can try an debunk all they want I know I heard this."

Newport, VA: "Please stop. There is something going on. I am truthful when I say I heard these sounds in Newport News, VA. They sound EXACTLY like the sounds in the movie War of the Worlds. Just because you have not experienced any of these sounds doesn't make it untrue. Just because this is now making social news doesn't mean there will be some that try to copycat it and make fake videos. Ignoring it will not help figure out what the sounds are.

I wish I would have taped the sounds because my daughter and I heard it. Since this started exploded on the net I've asked my neighbors if they heard any of these sounds and they remembered it to because they couldn't figure out what it is. This happened here about a month ago and it is not something you forget. It happened for what seemed like a week every evening, about 6pm.

Please do not debunk this. It is happening.

Miami, Florida - August 2011: I heard the "rumble" back in August of 2011...at first I thought it was an airplane...but after it lasted more than 2 minutes I began to get nervous...I swear I thought we were about to be attacked by a missle or something...

The rumble sounded like a space shuttle was taking off but it had somehow "froze" in mid flight....I had never experienced anything like it before...so I chalked it up to being some sort of abnormal thunder or something...seeing as how August is hurricane season for Florida..

I can tell you till this day I still have that sound imprinted on my mind....it's very frightning as if though you are experiencing an earth quake but with no movement. Also one more thing to add...the "rumble" took place on a cloudy night sometime around 10-11 pm

Denton, Texas (Jan, 2012): "We were visiting friends when there was a grumbling sound outside. Nothing happened and we checked earthquakes and there weren't any. Hmm"

Austria (Jan. 2012): "really strange! My husband and I hear that sound too and we live in Austria - it sounds like in the video from Hungary - i think it's now 3 or 4 days ago. We were thinking it was thunder."

Scores of people, including Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, ministers, politicians, friends and Karim's fellow students gathered to support the grieving family during the procession. Karim went into a coma on December 22 after suffering an epileptic attack and cardiac arrest.

She was admitted to treatment at Combined Military Hospital in Lahore and was on life support at the Intensive Care Unit when she suffered a tracheotomy complication on Saturday evening that resulted in bleeding in her throat.
Despite earlier reports of her progress had improved, doctors were unable to save her.
Karim rose to international fame when she became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional - a title awarded to those who master Microsoft programs - at the age of nine in 2005.

After earning the certification, Karim was subsequently invited to visit Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington by founder Bill Gates. Karim, then ten, met with Gates and other Microsoft executives during the visit, undoubtedly impressing them with her knowledge of programming at such a young age.
After Karim's hospitalisation, Gates in January reached out to the family and offered to pay for her medical care. It was reported he also proposed moving Karim to the U.S. for better treatment, although doctors decided it was against her best interest given Karim was on a ventilator.

Her father, Amjad Karim, thanked the Microsoft founder for his efforts, and said that his daughter was a spark that 'got attention and love from everyone on the globe.'
The young girl indeed made her country proud, representing Pakistan around the world with her incredible aptitude and skill.
Karim received the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology, presented by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2005, and was also the recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance.

In November 2006, she was invited by Microsoft to be a part of the keynote session in the Tech-Ed Developers conference in Barcelona. She was the only Pakistani among over 5,000 developers in that conference, themed 'Get ahead of the game'.
A permanent monument is also to be erected in her honour.
The IT Media City in Karachi will be renamed after the computer prodigy, and will now be known as Arfa Karim IT Media City, Karachi.
